Paul Walker has more than twenty-years experience in general management, brand-building, marketing, sales, business development, venture investing and consulting. He has lived and worked extensively in Asia, Europe and all three U.S. coasts. He currently consults with companies on branding, marketing, PR, sales, eCommerce and digital media projects.
Prior to joining GCI, Paul was the CEO of Snap, an Austin-based company that helps companies and individuals sell excess inventories using on-line channels, such as eBay. Craigslist and Google.
Formerly, he was a founder of GameChange, a Silicon Valley seed fund created by Accenture and Mobius Venture Capital, where he both invested in companies and worked with them on strategy, sales and marketing. He developed the idea for GameChange while serving as a partner of Accenture’s venture capital group.
Prior to his stint in venture capital, Paul spent 10 years at Accenture in leadership brand management, image development, market development and business development roles across a wide range of industries and service lines. In 1993, the company (then known as Andersen Consulting) hired Paul from Y&R/Burson-Marsteller to run its Pan-Asian market development efforts, including Japan, China and Australia.
Prior to joining Andersen Consulting, Paul spent 10 years at Y&R/B-M. He was the managing director of Y&R/Burson-Marsteller in Singapore. He also founded the company’s Indonesian office. Formerly, he was a vice president in the firm’s New York office, where he started its hi-technology practice in 1983.
He is a graduate of The University of Texas. Paul is on the board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Texas. He is a master swimmer with Longhorn Aquatics and loves to compete. Paul resides with his wife and son in Austin, Texas.
